Lip reminds me so much of my brother. So intelligent,but with how life planned out and how my father ended up. He was depressed and became an alcoholic,he could’ve done amazing things..but life and his own mistakes screwed him over. When me and my siblings were falling apart he held us together. We got blamed by my father and his girlfriend a lot. He was the only one who ever stood up for us. He kept us together..

@@henkietak2186 I’m still chugging along, As for my brother, he and I were kicked out of our fathers place and moved in with our mum. My brother managed to get sober! 2 years strong. He also got a job a few months ago. Life’s still rough, but we’re safe and going well. Thank you so much for asking :) I hope you’re well also

Lip is diligent and doesn't give up. He's stood through the storms. Fulfilled his responsibilities towards his family despite what's gone in his own life. His fucked up genes got to him. But he held himself together. His character inspires me a lot
It hurts so much you know, to see yourself so perfectly described in a video and character that it makes you look at your own life and what you can do to save yourself. But at the same time thinking that it's too late for you and you'll always be back in the same routine forever. And that hurts the heart so much.

@@joecargulia4676 If you really meant that, you wouldn't be in this comment section. It's never too late for change? Maybe, but people don't change. You show yourself how truly awesome you can be and then fall back into the same patterns, over and over. Well, I guess if you're fucked up, you're fucked up. I know this show is purely fictional but my life is like this. Dads an addict moms not around I raised my sister from the time I was 10 and I’m trying everything in my power to not be angry all the time and not turn to addictions and be like him.
Hang in there, and maybe seek out an Al-Anon meeting. You're not alone, and there is help. You don't have to repeat the same destructive patterns of your parents. But good for you for taking care of your sister. I'm sure you have been her lifeline.
